My Equine Shows & Events marketing video.

Well how is that for a super turnaround time? I did not expect to get yesterday's video with Nelly Murphy, Anne Murphy and Rolex done that quick but I have a crazy busy next couple weeks ahead so I wanted to get it cleared off my agenda.

The big question "Why am I not sharing this Live?" As much as I would love to, Facebook has quite significant extra compression for videos posted Live as opposed to pre-recorded and videos like these, you need to see all the detail in the video.

Thank you Nelly Murphy, Anne Murphy and Rolex for being such wonderful stars on camera. How about Nelly on that voice over work? She did a stellar job!

I will be doing a Director's Cut for this video very soon, since I take the video's native audio out, this may be done over Facebook Live, I will have to see.

Thank you Anne Murphy for providing me with a detailed bio on Nelly since I did not know very much about her prior. They were both superb to work with and being the social media newbie than I am, Nelly even took the time to teach me the in's and out's of Instagram stories on my Instagram account. Hey we all learn new things every day from all ages. :)

YOUR HORSE PHOTO(S): CRITIQUE CHALLENGE IS BACK!

By popular demand, my "Photo Critique Challenge" of your horse photo(s) is back and I have stepped it up from the first time around. I will be doing an interactive screen share Photo Critique session on Facebook Live where you can all interact with me in real time.

As I've said many times before, one of the best ways to improve your skill set in taking pictures is getting your photos judged and evaluated by others. Those with an open mind and acceptance to receiving constructive criticism are ones that will advance the quickest.

Due to receiving such an overwhelming response the first go around (over 250 photos submitted in just over a week), there will be a LIMIT OF ONE PHOTO SUBMISSION PER PERSON to give everyone a chance at having their photo critiqued by me.

I haven't set an official date yet for the Facebook Live session but it will (approx) be in 3 weeks time, where 40 photos will get selected for me to critique. I will be naming all photos coming in, in numeric sequence and will use a random number generator to pick 40 numbers out for me.

EQUINE SHOWS & EVENTS: 113TH ANNUAL MILLARVILLE RACE ON CANADA DAY

Here it is! The 113th Annual Millarville Race on Canada Day. What an amazing event to attend, perhaps my favorite event to photograph to date. This is by far the fastest (in terms of action) Equestrian event that I have shot to date but I had no issues. In a way it reminded me of Skijoring as it brought back memories from this past winter.

And again who doesn't love those stock horse races?! We need an event with just stock horse races from start to finish.

There are a whole list of shots that I want (and planning) to get for Thoroughbreds but obviously it will take me some time as it's just not possible to get it all in just 6 races. Races that go by just like that and you have a split second to get the shot that you want.

I would have liked to get photos of the activity going on inside the VIP tents but I would prefer to be in it as I didn't want to get the steel fence in the photos (not particularly all that appealing). I will not be missing out on photos for the VIP areas at the Breeder's Cup in November.

I respected the riders privacy in the back as they didn't want the camera on them so I just took a few photos of the horses in the stalls. I always make the most out of any situation.

This gets me even more excited heading to Kentucky on Halloween Day (as if I wasn't already excited).

I stayed in the back the entire time as I solely had my sights on 4 riders but of course unexpected great moments come along the way that you just have to get.

KEY 2019 PROJECT OFF TO A GREAT START!

Just over a month ago I mentioned that I will eventually be making a very big and special announcement for a large and key project in 2019.

Perhaps many of you have had the opportunity to meet this individual in person, perhaps many of you have been taught by this individual at some point in your life, regardless this individual is a VERY well known and highly accomplished name in the horse world.

Now, it's still far too early to announce who this person is but I just wanted to say that today was a great start for the both of us, as we had our first discussion and shared our thoughts in terms of what end product we are going to put out for the horse world to see. The great news is that we have a lot of time from now until 2019 to plan things out - it's going to be amazing.
