I am Steven, an Equestrian Video & Stills Photographer based in Calgary, Alberta.
My passion for photography originally stemmed from portraiture. I started off as a full-out techy gear-head, more fascinated by feeling and admiring camera gear itself than actually using it. I am still very much a gear-head, but I truly believe that I was very wise when I decided to introduce myself to the world of photography, and seeing what I could do with a camera in my hands.
I’ve been lucky to have known many horse friends in my life, and that led to my love for photographing the most beautiful creatures on planet earth. What drives me in life is my commitment to excellence and desire to consistently get better, both from a personal and academic standpoint. I do what I have to do and learn what I need to learn to get myself to where I need to be.
I am devoted to creating visual memories for horse owners and riders to cherish for a lifetime. There is no better feeling than capturing the bond between horses and their humans. Your equine friend is the most important thing in the world, and I know you want photos you can treasure and hold close to your heart for the rest of your life.
Not only am I a photographer, I am also a filmmaker and a Certified Advanced Drone Pilot. Self taught, just like with my photography, I dove into videography in 2010 as a part-time endeavor to indulge my passion for storytelling.
I enjoy working with other fellow Equestrians, small businesses and entrepreneurs. My goal is to help Equestrians tell their stories through emotion driven storytelling.
I truly do believe that I am the luckiest person in the world because I get to do this every day!
