Here is the second short marketing video from this past weekend's Chucks & Chariots event at the Millarville Racetrack. Make sure your volume is up.
MILLARVILLE AG SOCIETY - CHUCKS AND CHARIOTS EVENT
Here is the first of two very quick teaser marketing videos that I did for the Millarville Agricultural Society this past weekend for their Chucks & Chariots event.
Hopefully this gives you an idea what I can do working on tight budgets, for promoting Equine Shows, events, and literally anything in the Equestrian world.
SELLING MY PITCH TO CBC
CBC is interested in learning more about me and what I have to say.
Not too long ago I submitted my pitch for a short documentary idea that I have in mind and would one day love to put it into action. And what I mean by putting it into action is, sharing my pitch with one of the largest public television and radio broadcasters in Canada, in hopes of having my production funded by them and aired on their network. Yes, a very similar business practice to something you would see on the Apprentice TV show (when it was on).
Remember my post from a few weeks back inquiring about any parents out there, who have children that speak English as a second language? Well here is where you can start to connect the dots.
I have (what I believe to be) a remarkable and impactful story in mind, that I have no doubt that it would deeply connect with thousands (if not millions) of Canadians across Canada. Not just with horse lovers and owners, but well outside the horse world appealing to any animal lovers in general and people from all generations and walks of life, with a strong presence on multiculturalism.
Though I must say that this is just one conversation that I've had with CBC, and perhaps it's the ice breaker to get my foot in the door as an Independent Producer for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. All I know is, having worked in live TV before, it is often a very lengthy process to get your ideas listened to, in an attempt to have it supported, bought, and your production aired on a national network.
No matter how I spin this, it's a pleasing start.
VIDEO MARKETING ON A BUDGET
Video Marketing. I don't know of a single individual who runs a business who does not see the cost-to-benefit in using video to advertise their brand.
As simple logic's go, the bigger the budget, the more you can do with your product. The higher the production value, the higher the cost.
Just because someone would love to have professional videos done to show their products and services, doesn't always mean that they have the funds to hire a professional who specializes in video production, such as myself.
This is where I work with budgets. This week I will be filming a short teaser video for a local association in the Western world, who is on a tight budget and next week I will be showing what I can do working with a super tight budget.

A GLIMPSE TO MY FIRST WORKSHOP
I've been busy writing the course outlines, laying the foundation to my future workshops and the one for my September 14 workshop is ready to go. :)
I am super excited for those individuals who have booked their spot and will be attending, as this day will be packed with information. There will be lots to learn but it's great value for my students and a highly rewarding beneficial experience.
Here is just a glimpse of what I will be going over that day. If you are wanting the ability to take better pictures and to learn from me, don't miss out on this opportunity.
Still 2 spots available
EQUINE PORTRAITURE WORKSHOP ON SEPTEMBER 14
I still have two spots open that I am needing to fill for my Equine Photography Workshop taking place on Saturday September 14. I realize that September is a tough month for many because of the kids going back in school.
Again, a reminder that this will be the ONLY half day workshop that I ever host that includes:
1) A theme (which will be "Portraiture" for this one).
2) Outdoor hands on practice.
Otherwise, my half day workshops are in class lecture, basic photography, indoor hands on only. So there is going to be a lot covered in this one and it will run at a bit faster pace than my workshops normally would, but I know where the limits are, so don't worry about too much info being given, in too short of a time span (which is one of the top complaints by many individuals, hence why they are overwhelmed).
It will be a ton of fun and anyone who is wanting to learn hands on from me this year, this will be a wonderful opportunity.
There should be a second workshop scheduled by the end of this year but no guarantees. All dependent on the weather and my schedule.
"Steven, I would love to attend but I don't have a camera, I use my smartphone as my camera."
That's fine! You do NOT need a fancy standalone camera to attend any of my workshops. I always recommend bringing one if you can (example: borrowing one from a friend or family member), but if you cannot, anyone can still benefit and learn many valuable things by attending my workshops with just their smartphone camera.
Cost: $150 plus GST per person.
Send me a message if interested, serious inquiries only please.
Another great moment with couples
BRINGING IN BUILDING STRUCTURES TO YOUR IMAGES
In this picture, I really wanted to get the entire back side of the barn in frame but unfortunately the grass was too long and I wasn't able to get the angle that I was looking for from the height that I wanted to capture it from, so I worked with the limitations that I had.
You can do some really dramatic and creative stuff when you bring in building structures.
Still a nice moment between Kim, Ron and Whiddy.
