When I got back home from Dubai on April 1st, I received an invite to this year's Kentucky Derby taking place next Saturday May 3rd at Churchill Downs. I wasn't well then but I wanted to give it time, in case I did happen to get well enough to accept the invitation. At the time, I was confident that I would be recovered enough, if not fully recovered to head on yet another adventure.
I wanted to make my official decision no later than today and unfortunately I had to decline because I am just not well enough. Until I am back to 100% and have my immune system back to normal, getting on another plane and going through more airports would not be a wise decision. The Dubai trip took A LOT out of me and it's going to take time to get back to 100%. But trust me, there's nothing else that I want to do more right now besides work.
At such an event drawing 150,000 to 170,000 people every year, this would have been a total blast and a familiar experience heading back to Kentucky, back to Churchill Downs and I also would have visited Keeneland, as well as other famous landmarks down there that I missed during my first visit there, but we all know that HEALTH ALWAYS COMES FIRST.

Oh, I am just itching for my first booth appearance at a trade show, expo, fair, etc - I am more than ready. A corner booth is what I will be going for and for a few reasons. Everything has been done up and is easily accessible.
I know the exact look that I am going for and like the saying goes, "Go big or go home." In my shoes it's simple, making a statement is mandatory as I always want to maximize potential. Let me put it this way, you won't see a lot of stuff in my booth (because less is more) but what you will see will be memorable.
Looking back a year from today, my decision to not have a booth at last year's Mane Event was one of the best decisions that I've made to date. Decisions are not all equal and I've had so many good friends tell me throughout my life, that some of the best decisions that you will ever make, are opportunities that you decide to pass on.
By putting things off, it allowed me to direct my focus and invest my time and energy into my portfolio bringing it to completely new heights. As hard as I am on myself, all the time, I will admit, the progress that I have made over the past year has made me proud.

It was such a beneficial learning experience at the Dubai International Horse Fair. You all got to see what the booths are like over there and also some activity from the warm up ring, now here are some pictures.
It's unfortunate that I was unable to attend the second day due to being sick, I would have spent that day covering more products in the booths. Otherwise it was a great time with so many things to do and see.

Overcoming adversity is one of the biggest principles in life as it can make or break you. Without a doubt I had my share of challenges leading up to and on the day of the Dubai World Cup.
You don't grow unless you face adversity and the Dubai World Cup will go down as one of the biggest pinnacles of my career, not just in terms of the accomplishment but what it took to get me there and the complications that I had to overcome to get it done.
Meydan Racecourse doesn't allow for infield access to any photographers and videographers and the only way to get footage from there is by setting your camera along the rail and controlling it via remote, which I did not have either a remote or a third camera on me to set along the rail there. Unfortunately, there was absolutely no way for me to bring a third camera with me unless I had someone flying with me. This is just one of the many sacrifices that I had to make.
