#5 OF MY TOP 10 FAVORITE IMAGES SO FAR IN 2019

Steven Quon June 6, 2019

Here is #5 of my Top 10 favorite images so far in 2019.

It was quite the experience heading out to the desert in Dubai for this picture. Even though looking back now, I probably shouldn't have done it since the air was so bad and I do believe that this day was a big contributor in the severity of my illness. Once we got to the open it got extremely windy, so that sand was kicking up right in your face and I'm sure (even though I tried my best to avoid it) that I inhaled some of it.

This was by far the most difficult environment that I've worked in, mainly because I was not well, the thick polluted air and the jets and planes going by what seemed to be every 30 seconds, which created for lots of noise and activity in the air. And when you are out in this kind of setting with a pack of four other Arabian horses, you have to factor in their patience and ability to withstand this kind of wind, noise and activity in the air.

Each time I see this picture, the first thing I see is the gentle touch of this woman but I also see the happiness that this horse gives her when they are together. And that is what makes Equine Portraiture so magical, being able to see the connection and expressions between horse and human is a sight to see and being counted on to capture those absolute best moments in it's most organic form is the best feeling in the world.

NEW (THIRD) TYPE OF EQUINE PORTRAITURE IS COMING SOON!

Steven Quon May 8, 2019

For those of you who have senior horses, share and post a picture of them! :)How long have you had them for? I love seniors, in my opinion they are treasures, phenomenal teachers and they have a lot more to give than many realize.

Over the past year and a bit, going through my experiences with horse owners, lovers of these incredible creatures have allowed me to see quite a few partnerships and the different ways that each of us connect and communicate with these majestic animals. Each and every time that I am out there, I learn something new and that is just one of many reasons why I absolutely love what I do.

Because of this, I would like to continue expanding my Equine Portraiture service as my goals are to:

1) Have my images reach an even deeper and more emotional level.

2) As we all know, horses are the most special and forgiving animal's in the world who always live "in the moment." They sense, learn and experience many great times throughout their lives but many also endure everyday struggles, as it's just an element of life and a part of owning any animal.

So I am proud to say that I have a new (third) type of Equine Portraiture on it's way very soon! And by offering this, overtime it will add an element to my portfolio that we currently do not see.

PORTRAITURE IN THE DESERT in DUBAI

Steven Quon March 26, 2019

I know that many of you were very much anticipating my photo shoot in the desert photographing riders during a sunrise. There was huge potential for this scenario, it's just unfortunate that things unfolded the way that it did. Nothing terrible happened, things just didn't go as planned. Here are the few images that I captured in the short period of time.

EQUINE PORTRAITURE: TD EQUINE VETERINARY GROUP

Steven Quon February 15, 2019

My first experience photographing Equine Veterinarians at TD Equine Veterinary Group.

As I predicted, it was quite a bit more involved than documenting an Equine dentist or a farrier.
But what I quickly discovered is just how many ways you can photograph these particular practice's, and I am looking forward to implementing my new methods as I gain more experience in this specific field.

This was a solid start to getting the basics put into place first.

SHOW ME YOUR SANTA HAT /CHRISTMAS PICTURES!

Steven Quon November 28, 2018

Show me your Santa hat /Christmas pictures. :)
Want one for that frame or to send to family? Christmas pictures available now, have them ready for this Christmas as I am booking now for Equine Portraiture sessions on certain days throughout the month of December.

I know that 2018 has been a very tough year for many Albertan's and especially with the severe hay shortages, weak economy, I understand that getting pictures done right now just isn't in the budget for many. But I would like to make the most out of the situation and still make many people happy come Christmas time with their horses.

Christmas 2018 Equine Portraiture

Booking now!

Steven Quon October 13, 2018

Well that time of year is right upon us once again, yes I am preparing for this before Halloween since I won't be here this Halloween.

There are so many horse owners and lovers who take pictures of them with their horse(s) at the holidays and I would tend to think that very few would not like professional photos of them with their equine partners at this special time of the year for them to keep and look back on for many years.

What better gift is there than treating a friend or loved one to some photos with their horse(s)? Would you like to give someone a photo shoot and have them book it in their own time? Contact me about my "Gift Vouchers". This is not a limited time offer, gift vouchers will be permanent.

I understand that 2018 has been a rather difficult year for many people. The economy in Alberta still isn't where it should be and I don't expect everyone to be able to drop a bunch of money on a Portraiture photo shoot this Christmas as it's probably not seen as a priority but I want to get you great photos of you with your horse(s) this Christmas.

So just a friendly reminder that I do have what I call a "SPECIAL BOARDER'S PACKAGE", which many of you aren't aware of. I have offered this since day one but it has really flown under the radar.

It is a group booking of FOUR people, total 2 hours in a single outdoor or indoor location (half hour per person), 5 high res digital images for each person.

Or perhaps you don't want to be in the pictures and you just want pictures of your horse(s), even dressed up in Christmas attire? I offer that as well, Equine Portraiture: Classic - Just Horses.

My photos can be customized and ordered as large as 24"x36" for you to do prints off of and frame it to loved ones as gifts.

For more info on photos of just your horse(s), click HERE.

Want to include your cats, dogs and any other pets that you may have in your photoshoot? They are more than welcome. Group shots with friends and family? Contact me about pricing. I will do it all. No job is too big for me.

Any questions, contact me any time. Yes it's still early but I wanted to get the ball rolling right away.

Come December I will have limited spots as to when I can do these shoots but I will free up as much time as I can.

EQUINE PORTRAITURE: MINEA & MYA HILL

Steven Quon October 10, 2018

Here are the few photos from my third shoot with Minea and Mya Hill together with their two horses Elantra and Mowgli but unfortunately we had to end it quick due to the weather.

We will be re-scheduling for some time in the Spring of 2019 around the same area. Elbow Falls during a sunset or sunrise is what I suggested as there is a much larger area to work with, as well as the mountains and falls in the back which would make for some spectacular back drops.

Horses with their owners, mountains and flowing water during the Spring season... a lot of potential there.
